New Weightroom Open

The Exercise Intervention Research Centre (EIRC), also known as the new weightroom at the Davis campus, will be open for business starting Monday, March 3. Athletic Therapy students will have free, unlimited access to train in the facility during operational hours. Guests and other students are permitted with a fee. All first time users of the facility must complete the forms provided and receive a membership card. Details are below:

Student Awards

Due to a variety of circumstances we have decided to extend the deadline for student award nominations and applications to Friday, March 7, 2008. Please review the awards available in the Athletic Therapy Handbook and submit relevant materials to Loriann Hynes in C114.

Basement Noise

There have been some issues with noise in the bench area outside of the Trafalgar clinic. If students hanging out in that area could limit yelling, banging on the walls or tapping on windows it would be appreciated.

Soccer Coverage

Burlington U14 Girls Soccer Team. We compete in the Ontario YOuth Soccer LEague which spans from Ottawa to Windsor and are ranked in the Top 5 in the Province. . Our season consists of: 18 League Games, 2 US Tournaments (Cincinnati and Philadelphia), Ontario Cup.

We are looking a female trainer that is comfortable in dealing with young elite athletes. It would be a preference if the person has some experience with soccer, but not mandatory.

In return for your help, we will provide you with much needed hours toward your diploma, a financial gift (we can chat about the amount), hotels paid for on road trips, trainers equipment.

Location: Scarborough – Centennial College and Mary David Mary Thompson School (Scarborough – Brimley and Lawrence)

• Two students needed on the first day for two locations
