The Kingston Athletic Therapy Centre has recently expanded to a new clinic, and is looking for a full time Certified Athletic Therapist to join their team. KATC offers a dynamic and energetic open-concept clinic environment that attracts clients who are dedicated to their sports-specific rehabilitation process.

Owned and operated by two Certified Athletic Therapists, KATC also includes a Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Registered Massage Therapist (Sport Massage Therapist cc), as well as an alternative health care practitioner.

Successful candidates will have strong manual therapy skills, biomechanical analysis, and a focus on sport-specific strength & conditioning. Working with three national level therapists, this position offers an opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to share ideas and expand their skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

AT Coverage Request

Jan 8th-10th we need more volunteers to cover girls club basketball. Great for minor hours to get done at the begining of the year! Sultan Prospects Basketball club will be running a huge all weekend tournament and we need your help for coverage! Must be able to tape! Revision to Academic Standing Announcement

Sorry for the confusion re: your academic standing. Faculty just received notice that grades will not be released until Jan. 6th. As a result, Julie will be holding appointments on January 7th and the week of January 11th.

Hello Everyone,

If you have received a "D" an "F" or an "I" in any course on your transcript you will need to follow up with the AT Program Academic Advisor, Julie Dickson at julie.dickson@sheridanc.on.ca. Julie will be responding to emails on Monday January 4th. She will be holding meetings on Tuesday January 5th and Thursday, January 7th.

Hockey Coverage of the Xmas Break Needed

Hello everyone,
I'm leaving for a week at the end of the month and NEED someone to cover the St. Michael's Buzzers Jr. A hockey team practices and games for me. I'm sorry it's kind of late notice seeing as it is for over the Christmas Break, but the coverage I had set up already had to cancel on me for the week. 3rd or 4th years would be preferred for coverage, however it certainly could be done by any 2nd year as well. If you are interested in, and enjoy, hockey this would be a great experience.

Compensation for the week will be $200. If you can only be there for certain dates but not the whole week it helps too, and the compensation will just be altered for the amount of time you covered them. The Games are most important, however having someone at practices is preferred as well. Any supplies you need or there, and there is access to gym facilities and some modalities if you need to use any (that's more for any 3rd or 4th years.)

Dec. 28th - Showcase Game - Buzzers @ Bowmanville @ Newmarket Arena (Ray Twinney) 8 PM
Dec. 29th - Practice - 9-11 PM
Dec. 30th - Off-Ice - you get to make the time, and conduct the workout (ask me for more details.)

Jan. 2nd - Buzzers @ Cobourg - 8 PM -> If they bus you can take that, if not, just make sure Pete drives and go with him

For games, players usually get there about 2 hours before game time. Try and be there just before that, so like an extra 15 or 30 min before that. All practices are held at St. Michaels College School Arena.

For Dec. 31st and Jan. 1st the coaches did not have ice-times set up yet, they are most likely to skate at least 1 of those days, and they will tell you when they will have practice whenever they get an ice-time set for then.

Open Lab Space
