Keynote Speaker Support Techniques with PowerFlex and PowerTape: (Lecture plus Lab)- Ron O'Neil, ATC; formerly Head Athletic Trainer New England Patriots, now of Andover Products, maker of PowerFlex and PowerTape. Mr. O’Neil has a wealth of experience to share.
Pain on Muscle Function: -Geoff Dover, PhD, CAT(C), ATC; Assistant Professor Concordia University. Dr. Dover, a Sheridan grad, was the Graduate Program Director at the University of Florida before coming to Concordia in July 2008.
Cadaver Viewing: the Real Thing! (Lab only) and CATA Exam Preparation: (Lecture only) -Christina Grace, BSc, CATC(C), ATC; Instructor Concordia University. A graduate of the Concordia University AT program, Ms. Grace has been instructing Anatomy in our labs since 2002. She has been preparing Certification Candidates for the CATA Exam since then too!
Leading the Way in the world of Athletic Therapy (Lecture plus lab): -Elsa Orecchio, DipSIM, CAT(C); Instructor Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Does Shoeless Running Benefit Body and Sole? (Lecture only) -David Paris, PhD, CAT(C), ATC; Associate Professor Concordia University. A York Graduate, Dr. Paris has been leading students through the Concordia Program since the early 80’s. His research was in foot biomechanics /orthotics, and clinically “supports” people’s feet to this day.
Considering the Kinetic Chain in Patellafemoral Pain Syndrome: (Lecture and Lab) -Kirsty McKenzie, MSc, CAT(C); Instructor Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Ms. McKenzie is a Sheridan graduate, and brings her Master’s thesis work together with her clinical knowledge in this presentation. She has been involved in the Sheridan program since 2001.
BOC (NATA) Exam Preparation: (Lecture only) -Richard DeMont, PhD, CAT(C), ATC; Associate Professor Concordia University. Dr. DeMont is a Sheridan graduate, and has been at Concordia since 1999. He was part of the CATA negotiation team for the Mutual Recognition Agreement with the Board of Certification (NATA).
