Run for a Cure!

Hello Everyone,

Below is an announcement requesting participants in the 2010 Run for the Cure. The AT program has been invited to run with the other Health programs to optimize our fundraising potential. If you're interested in registering, please contact Kirsty McKenzie at kirsty.mckenzie@sheridanc.on.ca. I'll start of list of the AT registrants and pass them on to Shelley LeBlanc once school starts in September. Lets ensure that the AT program continues to have an excellent turnout for this incredible event.

Below is the call for participants from Shelley:

Hello There - Once again this year, the Sheridan College Health Programs - "Keeping Abreast" run/walk team, will get together with tens of thousands of Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life to participate in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

Last year was the first year we created a Sheridan College team. Our team of only 10 people (2 of which were children ages 7 & 11 and a few non-Sheridan folks), raised $3,000.00 for breast cancer research, education and awareness. This year we would like to double that amount but we NEED YOU to help! All you need to do is login and sign up on our team and run or walk with us on Sunday October 3, 2010. There are a few ways to join but the best way is absolutely free. All you have to do is set a goal to collect $150 in pledges, and BELIEVE ME, you WILL collect that just spread the word - it is very easy!!!

Everyone knows someone that has been affected by this terrible disease that attacks so the response to this campaign is usually very strong. Once you join, I will be available to assist you if you have any questions about the website (it is set up so all your fundraising can be done online including sending receipts. If you use the online method, you will not have to deal with any cash).

Please consider joining our team whether you are Sheridan faculty/staff/student or non-Sheridan. You are free to bring along family and friends as well. Together we support the vision of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 'To create a future without breast cancer.'
