Coverage Needed

Ontario Junior Elite League (JUEL) is looking for volunteer coverage for its inaugural season. This league is composed of high level female basketball players, ages 15-19. The schedule will require 3 therapists per day as there are 3 locations in the Brampton/Mississauga area.

Saturday's will typically run from 10am-9pm, Sunday's will run from 8:30am-3pm

Consistency with availability is an asset. Taping supplies will be available on site. Any supplies used from therapists personal kit will be replaced. Travel expenses will also be covered.

Ultimate Frisbee tournament at Cherry Beach in Toronto on November 20th. The tournament is slated to run for 1 day from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Looking for 1-2 volunteers.

The tournament is a fundraiser for the Stephen Lewis Foundation (as part of their ‘Dare Campaign’) with proceeds assisting AIDS efforts in Africa.

AT(s) attend and provide their own supplies with reimbursement at the end of the day for any used supplies.

OFSAA Girls AAAA Volleyball Championships
March 2011 - Newmarket

Required: 1 Athletic Therapist per day per site.
• Description: Dealing with minor athletic injuries (cuts, scraps, minor sprains) and taping duties (where needed), for athletes high school aged athletes participating in the Ontario championships. Any major injuries will be sent directly across the street to Southlake Regional Health Center. Lunch will be provided.

When: Tuesday March 8th, 2011 & Wednesday March 9th, 2011

Where: Newmarket, Ontario
• 4 Sites: Huron Heights S.S., Dr. Denison S.S., Sir William Mulock S.S. and Sacred Heart CHS
• We will need one person at each of the 4 sites on Tuesday from 9:00 am until approx. 5:00 pm.
• We will need one person at each of the 2 playoff sites on Wednesday from 9 am until approx. 5:00 pm.

Honorarium:
• Selected applicants will receive an $80 honorarium per day, plus a complimentary lunch and an official Overkill T-shirt.

Coverage Needed

Repost for the Dixie Beehive Hockey Team: looking for an AT/Trainer for their team from the AT program at Sheridan. Payment per game is $50. Third year student is preferred but will consider applications from other years. The time commitment varies on weekends but games there are usually two games, possibly three games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights. Sometimes the game on Sunday is during the afternoon. Practices are normally on Monday and Thursday late afternoon at 4:45pm and although these would not be mandatory, they are useful for the AT to work on the players in the available training room.
If a couple of students wish to share the time, that would be ok with us as well.
