An Incredible Opportunity to Consider!
Volunteer summer/ fall position
I will be running across the Trans Canada Trail, an estimated 12,000 km, to bring awareness to and raise money for testicular cancer. I dream of inspiring a nation to get active and be healthy! I am inviting all Canadians to come and join me. I want them to walk or run with me and share their story. My own story has inspired many to get up off the couch and take that first step towards an active and healthy lifestyle. Imagine what hundreds of stories can do! Through the Score Television network and website we will relay these personal narratives. Together we will inspire a nation, one story at a time.
I am looking for an Athletic therapist to come with us. Someone to “keep me together” My plan is to run 70 km a day for an estimated 171 days. This is a non profit event and all proceeds will go to the Canadian Cancer Society. There is no pay, but food and lodging will be taken care of.
So far the team consist of me (runner/interviewer) my fiancée Casey (driver of the Winnebago, food, laundry, etc..)., Soren,( marketing, filming, tech support). My two dogs Lex and Nala, running companions.
As your main focus will be to keep me running, you will be able to run or bike trails. Some which have never been walked on before. Witness the most breath taking scenery from across Canada. Meet people and hear first hand stories of inspiration and triumph from across the nation.
I believe this to be a great resume builder. This documentary when successful will be more highly publicized than any other trek across Canada.
The ideal candidate will be able to leave home for 6-7 months. Be comfortable living in an RV with 3 others people, plus 2 dogs. Comfortable with appearing on Television and website video’s. Want to take part in a cross Canada adventure aimed at inspiring a nation to get active and be healthy.
