Subjects Needed!!
"CENTRAL SENSITIZATION EVOKES SEGMENTAL CHANGES IN SKIN TEMPERATURE"
PURPOSE: We are looking for volunteer subjects to study the effects of a deep heat creme on the pattern of skin temperature changes in human subjects. Remuneration will be provided.
METHOD: “Deep heat” style crème (containing Capsaicin, the active ingredient in hot peppers) will be applied to your right elbow region. Skin temperature changes of your elbow, back and shoulder will be measured using infrared thermography (IRT). IRT is an imaging procedure which measures temperature changes on the skin; it is similar to taking a picture with a camera.
The study will take 1 hour to complete and will be done in BURLINGTON.
Interested volunteers please contact Dr John Srbely (HHNS) by email at: jsrbely@rogers.com
