Medical and Equipment Trainer
Twist Conditioning Inc. is a dynamic fast- paced company experiencing strong growth in the sport and fitness fields. TCI is comprised of 3 unique divisions: sport performance products, performance training programs and services, and sport performance education and certifications. TCI is located in North Vancouver at our 8,000 SQ. FT. facility encompassing the Head Office, Product Showroom, Athlete Conditioning Center and Warehouse. TCI is recognized as a world leader and innovator in the field of athlete conditioning and sport performance enhancement.
TCI is comprised of a team of elite exercise physiologists, strength and conditioning coaches and product experts who specialize in creating exciting and innovative training methodologies in sport-specific training, functional fitness, and group fitness programs. TCI was founded by Peter Twist, 10-year veteran strength and conditioning coach of the Vancouver Canucks and world renowned Sport Scientist.
The Twist Athlete Development Division’s year round training center hosts professional and amateur level teams and athletes from many sports including: hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, baseball, basketball, softball, rugby, and more. The Twist Athlete Conditioning also offers adult functional training programs for adult athletes and recreationalists. TCI’s Elite Summer Hockey Camp is the home to hundreds of hockey players from across North America from NHL to youth hockey players.
Twist Conditioning Inc.’s training department is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals to fill the following position: Medical and Equipment Trainer
ÿ This is a part-time volunteer position with a requirement to fulfill a minimum of two 7 hour days week for the full Summer Camp period. The Summer Camp runs from June 29th-August 21st.

The successful candidate will spearhead and assist in the following:
· Ensure on-ice and dry land areas are supplied with towels and water in a timely manner
· Communicate with conditioning coaches regarding athlete's injuries
· Assisting in athletic taping and tending to a variety of athlete injuries
· Set up and run player's benches like pro hockey set up
* Organize practice equipment (dryland and on-ice)
· Inventory of all camp equipment on a week to week basis
· Ensure on-ice and dry land areas are supplied with towels and water in a timely manner
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Graduate level student, or students entering third- or fourth- year of an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics, Physical Education or other related field. Post-university coaches and trainers looking to advance their experience and standing in the field are also welcome.
2. Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
3. Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
4. Capable of working effectively in a team situation and also independently.
5. Individuals must be able to organize and prioritize effectively and work in a multi task environment.
6. Experience in athletic training and taping
